The story is based around 11-year-old Saga Bergmann, a young girl in a small German town who lives with her grandmother Regina and works in a coffee shop when not in school. Saga is extremely structured and plans her life down to the minute. One day, she notices a tiny creature in a fluffy outfit that appears to be starving. She offers it a waffle, which helps revive the tiny creature. Saga learns that this tiny creature is Sugar, an apprentice season fairy. Sugar explains that season fairies alter the weather by playing a magical musical instrument, and her specialty is snow, which she creates by playing the piccolo. Sugar is joined by two more apprentice season fairies, Salt, an outgoing male fairy who plays the trumpet to make the sun shine more brightly, and Pepper, a quiet and caring female fairy who plays the harp to make the wind blow.

Afro Samurai is the only name known for the mysterious swordsman out for revenge. A futuristic Japan has partially reverted to the previous feudal system as a unique order rules the world. The “Number One” achieves an almost god like status, but this position can be claimed if the “Number Two” kills him and takes the headband he wears. As a child, Afro witnessed his father, the last “Number One” be decapitated by Justice as he rose to the position of “Number One.” Now, after years of training he sets out to challenge Justice to avenge the death of his father and rise to power.

The star of this series is fifteen year old Garrod Ran, a member of Vulture, a scavenger group that patrols the wasteland for profits, which is on a mission to find and save mistreated Newtypes in the world from those who wish to take advantage of them. Gundam X also used the space war concept featured in previous Gundam series as a backdrop, with the New United Nations Earth and the Space Revolutionary Army as the opposing factions. Unlike any other series of Gundam, the Gundam mobile suits that is featured in this particular series are mass produced, and a handful of them survived the war, and piloted by civilians working for hire.

The story of college freshman Keiichi Morisato, who, because of his pure heart, has been chosen by Yggdrasil, Heaven’s computer system, to receive a single wish. The “angelic” goddess Belldandy is sent down to Earth to ask for his wish, and tells him that he can potentially wish for anything that he wants, from becoming a billionaire to destroying the world in an instant. Keiichi first thinks that this entire meeting is a prank set up by his senpais, but during their short meeting, he soon realizes that she’s the only person who truly understands and appreciates him. Being enchanted by her, Keiichi wishes that someone like Belldandy would stay with him forever, under the condition that the offer is valid. Ironically, he does not fully comprehend the outcome of his wish, and is stunned on realizing that Belldandy will now be living with him.

Kaoru Hanabishi appears to be an average university student, but in actuality, he’s the eldest son of Yūji Hanabishi, the head of the Hanabishi Zaibatsu, and was set to take over the zaibatsu after his father retired. His mother, Kumi Honjō, and his father never married, making life difficult for both him and his mother. Kaoru’s father died when he was five years old. Since then, Yūji’s father, Gen’ichiro Hanabishi, took Kaoru under his wing and began educating him for the eventual succession. Yet Kaoru never felt at home in the Hanabishi family and left to live by himself after his mother died. Day by day he felt alone, thinking that he was living life with no reason pushing him on.

There was, however, someone who loved Kaoru so much that she’d do whatever was necessary to be with him.

Two years after meeting Aoi, Kaoru and gang are still up to their normal habits. Koaru now in grad school and the tenents being as rowdy as ever what will become of Aoi and Kaoru’s love.
Two years has passed since Aoi and Kaoru were freed from the bonds of their families. They continue to live their normal lives with their usual friends in their house.

At the beginning of the story, Yukito comes across a small seaside town where the story takes place. On his first day in town, Yukito tries to earn money by putting on a mysterious puppet show for kids he finds by manipulating a doll magically without strings.

Defeated after not getting any money, and not having enough for even a meal, Yukito falls asleep on a seawall near the beach. He awakens the next day to find beside him a young girl who introduces herself as Misuzu Kamio. Misuzu persistently attempts to play with him, while Yukito tries to refuse her efforts. When Misuzu finds out Yukito has not eaten anything since the day before, she suggests that he come to her house and eat for the time being. Lured by a chance to eat, Yukito follows her back home. Upon learning of Yukito’s lack of lodging, Misuzu suggests that he stay at her home until he can find a place in town while he earns money.
That night, Haruko comes home and after Yukito and Misuzu persuade her, it is decided that he will stay with them on two conditions: that he sleeps in the shed, and that he shares a drink with Haruko.

The world of Air Trecks calls to young Minami Itsuki. This young student is the leader of the East Side Gunz who returns home in shame after being embarrassed by the Skull Saders, a rival street gang. Upon arriving he sees that his only benefactors, the Noyamano sisters, have been hiding a large secret from him. They belonged to Sleeping Forest, the most skilled group of Storm Riders in the history of Air Trecks. Upon this shocking discovery, he steals a pair of their Air Trecks and heads out to seek revenge on the Skull Saders. He finds a world of mystery instead.

One stormy night, Nangou is playing a game of Mahjong with the local yakuza. Soon, he finds himself on a losing streak. If Nangou loses, he will have to pay with his life. Suddenly, a young teenaged boy, Akagi Shigeru, barges in, drenched from the rain. After watching a couple of games, he offers to replace the struggling Nangou. At that moment, a new legend was born.

Jouji Gouda is a new transfer student at Hakuryo High School. On his first day of class, he fell in love at first sight for Akane Suzumiya and boldly proposed to her on the spot. The two characters conflict with each other greatly, but Jouji never gives up and would do anything to express his love towards Akane.

Although his attempts to win Akane’s love at first do nothing but anger Akane, he gradually starts to make an impression on her, inspiring Akane to be more honest about her own feelings.

Allison & Lillia is set in a world with one continent split down the middle from north-south by the towering Central Mountains, and the vast Lutoni River. At the time the story begins, it is year 3287 on the fictional universe’s World Calendar during summer. By this time, the two regions have been ragging a war for the past 130 years, though an armistice has been in effect for the past ten years. The story centers around Allison Whittington, a young blonde pilot in the Roxche Air Force who has experience with biplanes. She comes to visit her good friend Wil Schultz during his summer vacation at Rowe Sneyum Senior School’s dormitory after being away for six months. They give him a ride to his home, and while there he tells them a story he claims to be true: that there is a treasure in the western region Sou Beil which could end the conflict between the warring regions. Before he can tell them more, a man who claims to be from the town hall takes the old man away, though Wil quickly notices that the man was most likely lying. Allison and Wil chase after them and find that the old man was taken away in a large plane. Allison and Wil steal a plane and chase the abductors across the river into Sou Beil; fortunately, they speak both languages. The first half of Allison & Lillia chronicle’s Allison’s and Wil’s adventure as they go to rescue the old man.

Hatanaka Ikko, a 16 year old boy, is a first year trainee at the Saienji Buddhist Temple. He was sent there by his parents to be trained by his grandmother, the Saienji Priestess. At the temple he finds himself surrounded by beautiful female priestesses-in-training. Upon seeing a girl naked, Ikko has the ability to turn into a super-monk, performing massive exorcisms for the good of the temple.

In this sequel, a girl named Kazusano Kazuki join up with the 6 girls and Ikko. With Kazuki around, Ikko will find himself in more embarassing situations with these priestesses-in-training.

Ordinary high school student, Tokidoki Rikugō, has to take supplementary History classes, to boost his failing grade, at a state-of-the-art museum. This museum allows the visitor to use high-tech virtual reality to reconstruct a realistic Edo of the Bakumatsu period. The story initially starts by dealing with terrorism in an alternate-universe 90s era, where Japan is the largest economy in the world. The communist radical group, the Red May, are trying to bring down Japan’s economy and take over the government.

In response, a government agency, the Special Security Force, is formed with the ability to act outside the law. However, when the Red May suddenly find themselves being wiped out, the force discovers that something else is hunting the terrorists.

After arriving in the city, Misaki Suzuhara watches the battle doll Athena on a big screen television outside of Tokyo Station and becomes interested in learning about the amazingly popular toy called Angelic Layer, a game in which players (called Deus) buy and custom-design dolls known as Angels. Angels can move by mental control when on a field called the “layer”. Layers are very expensive, and most people pay to use them by the hour in establishments resembling cybercafes.

An eccentric man wearing a white lab coat and glasses, calling himself “Icchan”, encourages Misaki to purchase and create her own angel. She names the angel Hikaru, after Hikaru Shidō from Clamp’s Magic Knight Rayearth which she was reading on the train to Tokyo, because she wants the angel to be “a short girl, but strong and happy” like Hikaru and herself.

Even though she’s clueless about the game, Misaki soon begins to compete in tournament, and is assisted and watched carefully by Icchan. Later Icchan’s identity is revealed as Ichiro Mihara, the co-creator of Angelic Layer.

The animatrix was a series of short films set in the Matrix Universe.

At a time when Orica is saddened over her inability to fulfill her role as a Lavateil, or one who can control magical powers through singing Hymns, Laina’s airship comes crashing down upon her from the sky. Both of them search for an engineer to repair his airship, meeting Cruze. In the process, Laina inadvertently teaches Orica that the key to singing a successful Hymn is to want to help others from the bottom of one’s heart.

Ar Tonelico was released on a single DVD in one episode on March 22, 2006 and runs approximately 25 minutes. It’s a one episode long OVA.

Area 88 takes place in the late 1970s/early 1980s and is largely set in a war-embroiled Middle Eastern country called the Kingdom of Aslan. The war uses mercenary fighter pilots, with its headquarters at a secret desert air force base called Area 88. Up-and-coming airline pilot Shin Kazama gets tricked into signing up by “friend” Satoru Kanzaki as part of his jealousy-fueled plot to steal Shin’s girlfriend Ryoko Tsugumo. Facing execution for deserting from Area 88, Shin reluctantly turns into a fighter pilot and attempts to serve his three year contract out.

Area 88 attracts all kinds of people with all kinds of assorted and often sordid pasts. Among the other mercenaries are Mick Simon, an American who couldn’t adjust to normal life after his tour of duty in the Vietnam War. Mick becomes Shin’s best friend at Area 88. Another familiar sight at Area 88 is McCoy, a greedy weapons dealer who sells everything the mercenaries need from toilet paper to the planes that the mercenaries fly in battle.

Arjuna is set in Kobe, Japan, where Juna, is attending high school. The story opens on her telling her boyfriend, Tokio, she feels too cramped in the city, and deciding to take a trip to the Sea of Japan. On the drive, they get in an accident, and Juna dies.

As her spirit leaves her body, Juna sees the Earth suffering, visualized by worm-like creatures, the Raaja, entwining the planet. A young boy, Chris, appears to her, and offers to save her life if she will help the planet. She agrees, and is resurrected.

Aang is the latest in a long line of avatars, skilled people who can bend the four elements of the world to their own will. Aang is just a young boy, but he is desperately needed to restore order and end the war that the Fire Nation ceaselessly wages against the other three nations of the world. Two water benders, Katara and Sokka, find Aang and accompany him throughout his journey to master all four bending skills and become the new savior that he is destined to be.

On their sixteenth birthday, they are called to gather in their family home to be given a special present. The present was actually some sort of test — which Aya failed. She is proven to be a reincarnation of a tennyō, and when her hidden memory is jogged, she will transform into Ceres, the tennyō. According to the legend, if left to live, the reincarnation of Ceres will bring ruin upon the Mikage family. Aya quickly finds she is being hunted by her own family who plans to kill her. She is saved by Suzumi Aogiri, another tennyo descendant, Yūhi, a very energetic teenager and Suzumi’s brother-in-law, and Tōya, a mysterious man with whom Aya soon falls in love.

Events escalate as Aya struggles to control Ceres and her brother gains the ability to manifest as the “Progenitor”, the ancestor of the Mikage family who happen to have stolen Ceres’ hagoromo that will help her open the gate of heaven.

The chronicles everyday life in an unnamed Japanese high school in Tokyo, following the trials and triumphs of six girls: reserved Sakaki’s obsession with cute animals, Chiyo’s struggle to fit in with girls five years older, Osaka’s skewed perspective on the world, Yomi’s aggravation at an annoying best friend, Tomo, whose energy is rivaled only by her lack of sense, and Kagura’s efforts in sports and school. The story covers three years of tests, culture festivals, and athletic events at school, after-school life at the nearby shopping district, at Chiyo’s large house, vacations spent at Chiyo’s summer home on the beach and at Magic Land, a theme park. It is generally realistic in tone, marked by occasional bursts of surrealism and absurdity, such as Osaka’s bizarre imaginings and an episode featuring the characters’ New Year’s dreams.
